Y stands for Youngstown first and the Valley second. The product is one introduction: a specific person who can help with a specific next step. A mentor for a defined problem. A collaborator for a project. A hire or a shadow day. A skill traded both ways. The desk is run by Societas Technologies from 1658 Roberts Ln NE, Warren, OH 44483.
It is not a social network, not a job board, and not a feed. There are no profiles to scroll on this page. The Founding Valley Cohort — the first people willing to be asked, and the first concrete needs — is being assembled now. Publishing an empty directory would be worse than saying so.

A person matches
Someone at Societas picks one match and writes why, in a sentence. You do not get a list of twenty strangers.

Both sides can decline
Each person gets a short note and a suggested short conversation. Either side can say no. We do not chase.
Who it is for
The Valley, before anywhere else.
Seekers we expect: students, career-switchers, apprentices, early founders, and people coming off a layoff in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties. Givers we expect: hiring managers, shop owners, practitioners, and people already in the networks around the Valley.
Local rooms that already exist — chambers, young-professional groups, incubators, campus placement — keep doing what they do. Y Networker feeds a warm introduction into those rooms. It does not replace them, and it does not put their logos on this page.
Right now
The cohort is open. The directory is not up.
Write if you have one concrete need in Youngstown or the Mahoning Valley, or if you are willing to take a small number of introductions as part of the Founding Valley Cohort. A person reads the note. We will say plainly if we can help yet.
